Deputies say they have caught two men who stole guns and video games in a burglary spree in western Benton County.

Johnny Arehart and Jeremy Spackman were arrested earlier this week on suspicion of residential burglary and theft of property. Arehart remains in the Benton County Jail on $12,855. Spackman was released on $2,500 bond, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office tracked Arehart down during a burglary investigation. After deputies recovered more stolen items from Arehart than was stolen from the investigation’s home, the suspect confessed to burglarizing two more homes in the Gravette area, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Arehart, 18, also told investigators Spackman was involved, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they recovered a shotgun, two handguns, two game systems, about 200 DVDs, power tools and other electronics, all worth about $5,000.
