Authorities say a speeding car caused a multi-car wreck Wednesday night in Fort Smith.

Police say the car clipped the back of a semi truck near the 5100 block of Zero Street, spun out of control and then clipped the front side of an SUV.

The driver of the speeding car was sent to the hospital with a head injury.  The driver of the SUV was treated at the scene and released.

A portion of Zero Street was blocked off, and traffic diverted through the parking lot of The Links apartment complex.
