Fort Smith police are looking for a man accused of trying to attack a pregnant woman. Investigators say Steven Yang, 18, is also responsible for shooting two teenagers in Fresno, California.
“I want him put away for good,” said De’voun Patterson.
Patterson says the father of her unborn child held a gun to her head and pulled the trigger. “He loaded it and then he pulled the trigger, but it jammed. It was kind of scary,” she said.
Patterson escaped, but believes Steven Yang is still after her. “He already told me he was like well since you're not dead he told me he was like I'm gone come back and finish the job,” she said.
Investigators say the alleged attack happened Feb. 3 at a house on Belle Street in Fort Smith. Police in Fresno, California say Yang shot two teenagers at a park there in October.
“We suspect he knows that he's pretty hot at this point and pretty being sought after,” said Sgt. Daniel Grubbs, with the Fort Smith Police Department.
Investigators believe Yang has connections in Stigler, Oklahoma. Officers say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
“Oklahoma areas, Stigler area, our area need to be on the lookout for him,” said Sgt. Grubbs.
Police in Fresno say Yang is a gang member. “He told me he was like I'm an Asian Mafia and then he has a tattoo right here. It's 5-6-2 or something and they stand for URC,” said Patterson.
Fresno police say URC stands for Unknown Regulator Crew.
“He told me that he's a killer and I thought he was joking at first,” said Patterson.
Police say Yang has access to a maroon, older model two door Honda with a grey door on the driver’s side.
