Police are searching for a man they say broke into a Bella Vista home and stole jewelry and a gun after riding up on a four-wheeler, as seen on surveillance video.

Video captured a white man riding an all-terrain vehicle up to a house on Southam Lane on Feb. 15. The suspect is seen knocking on the house’s front door for five minutes before entering the home’s back entrance.

Police said the suspect stole jewelry, electronics, a firearm and other items worth more than $8,000.

Police said they hope someone recognizes the suspect or the helmet he is wearing. If anyone has information or can identify the suspect, the Bella Vista Police Department urges them to call detectives at 479-855-3771.

Police do not believe the case is related to another Bella Vista theft report, in which police said two unknown suspects stole a riding lawnmower, a gas grill, camping equipment and other items worth more than $1,000.

Bella Vista police responded to the theft call Wednesday (Feb. 27) on Ettington Drive. Police were able to obtain photos of the suspect, seen below. Anyone with any information on the theft is encouraged to contact the Bella Vista Police Department.
