Three men, including one who allegedly fired shots at a homeowner during an early morning burglary, have been arrested in Crawford County.

Brandon Shelley, 22, and Dillon Weaver, 19, and Derrick Collins, 19,  were arrested in connection with the incident on Pine Hollow Road.

Shelley is being held on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, attempted kidnapping, felon in possession of a firearm, terroristic threatening and theft of property.

Weaver is being held on charges of aggravated robbery and burglary.

Collins faces charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. All three are being held without bond at this time.

Douglas Walton, 16, was inside the home when he heard the intruders break-in.

"I was just really scared," Walton said. "Like I couldn't even, I wasn't thinking straight. I was having a hard time breathing. It was just really scary."

He then grabbed a gun and hid in his bedroom closet, Walton said. He also called his dad, Martin, who had just left for work.

Walton could hear the intruders rummaging around in his home, filling up boxes, then it got quiet. The intruders were met by Martin in the driveway.

"He got in the car and was trying to leave and I told him, 'You've been in my house, you're going to jail,'" Martin said. "He said 'No, please don't call the cops,' And I said 'Yes, I'm calling the cops, I already have them on the phone now. You're going to jail.'"

Martin jumped out of the vehicle after Shelley allegedly fired shots at him, he said.

The truck and several stolen items have since been recovered, according to Sheriff Ron Brown. That's because the suspects had loaded up their getaway vehicle with stolen items from the home, but the vehicle had engine trouble.

The Waltons said the suspects tried to take off with money, guns and prescription medication. However, the family said it appears most of their belongings have been recovered.
