Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week officially kicks off Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Chancellor Hotel in Downtown Fayetteville.

Fashion week unofficially started on Monday when affiliated local businesses held a shopping night out involving special discounts on clothes and accessories.

NWA Fashion Week is all about shopping local.

It promotes local products and features hundreds of designers and models showing off local clothes from local boutiques.

Ticket proceeds go to nonprofit organizations. Last year, fashion week raised about $33,000.

According to the group's Facebook page you can still get tickets for Saturday’s kid's day event at the door.

But, tickets for the week-long fashion show are already sold out.

Fashion Weeks runs through Saturday.
