Choctaw Casino in Pocola is set to bring in more than 100 jobs to the River Valley over the next couple of months.

The latest expansion of the hotel and casino is set to open Monday (March 18) which hundreds of new slot machines and a new sports bar.

The casino will add 175 new positions across the board between now and when the rest of the expansion is complete.

As for patrons, casino officials say they’re also opening things up a bit.

“One of the things we took in mind when we designed the casino expansion was creating a lot of additional space to make people more comfortable, and give people more room to move around,” said Barrett Defay, marketing manager. “The old casino was a little crowded and tight.  We know people want to have their privacy when they come as well as be able to move around and feel good about being here.”

The expansion is set to be completed with a grand opening May 1.
