It may not completely make up for last season but it doesn’t hurt.

Arkansas completed a three-game sweep of No. 6 South Carolina with a 5-3 win in 11 innings Sunday (March 24).

Matt Vinson came through with a two-run single in the top off the 11th. Colby Suggs closed the door in the bottom of the inning to finish off the win.

It was the first time since 1999 that South Carolina was swept at home in a weekend series.

The Razorbacks (17-7, 4-2 SEC) outscored the Gamecocks 24-8 over the weekend and was highlighted by a 15-3 rout in the series opener on Friday. Ryan Stanek threw a complete game with seven strikeouts on Saturday to help Arkansas win 4-2.

Randall Fant put the Hogs in great position to win as he threw 6 2/3 innings while striking out a career-high seven.

Jacob Morris helped put Arkansas in front, 3-1, as he drove in a run for the fourth straight game. South Carolina tied the game 3-3 as an error and two bases-loaded walks gave the Gamecocks a pair of runs in the seventh.
