Fort Smith Officer Graduates from FBI Academy

Major Mark Hallum with the Fort Smith Police Department is now among a select group of the country’s law enforcement officers.

Hallum graduated from the FBI National Academy on March 22, along with less than one percent of the nation’s officers.

About 250 attendees were hand-picked to attend a 10-week course at a training facility in Quantico, Va.

Hallum is the Commander of the Criminal Investigation Division and has been with the Fort Smith Police Department since 1991, according to a news release from the department.
