At Least Two Injured in LeFlore County Collision

A head-on collision between a semi-tractor trailer and a sports utility vehicle has closed Highway 59 in Howe, Okla., according to LeFlore County Sheriff Rob Seale.

The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. Thursday (April 11). At least two people are being taken by medical helicopter to local hospitals, Seale said.

Ambulances and fire trucks were dispatched to the scene after the semi caught fire. Witnesses say the semi ended up running off the side of the road.

Traffic is backed up while officers work to clear the accident.
