Arkansas could not make up ground on the SEC West leading LSU Tigers.

LSU scored a pair of runs in the top of the 10th while Razorbacks coach Dave Van Horn was ejected in the same inning as Arkansas fell 5-3 in the series finale.

The No. 2 ranked Tigers took a 4-3 lead in the 10th on a sacrifice fly from Sean McMullen. Mark Laird followed with a slow roller to first. Arkansas first baseman Dominic Ficociello tried to apply the tag but Laird ran out of the baseline to avoid the tag and what would have been the third out. Van Horn was tossed for arguing with first base umpire Mike Morris.

Baird eventually scored in the inning on a RBI single from Alex Bregman to set the final margin.

Arkansas now trails LSU by four games in the SEC West standings.

Bregman gave LSU a 3-1 lead in the third with a two-run home run.

The Razorbacks got a big day from Jordan Farris as he had a solo home run in the third and a RBI single in the fourth to tie the game at 3-3.
