Two Airlifted to Hospital after Multi-Car Collision

Two people were airlifted to a hospital in Springfield, Missouri Sunday afternoon following a three-car crash in Benton County.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:14 p.m. Sunday on Hwy. 62 East of Military Park near Avoka, Ark.

Arkansas State Police report Robert Milne, 43, of Washburn, MO. was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger eastbound on Hwy 62. when he crossed the centerline and sideswiped a 13’ Dodge Dart traveling westbound.

The dodge dart was driven by Margaret Griffin, 51, of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Milne then struck a 2005 Chevy pickup head-on that was also traveling westbound, according to a release from Arkansas State Police .

The driver of that vehicle Ronald S. Suddath of Garfield, Ark. was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, along with Milne, according to Arkansas State Police. Griffin managed to escape the crash uninjured.

The condition of the passengers was not immediately available.
