Ashley Beck pleaded guilty to a first-offense, driving-while-intoxicated charge in Van Buren Municipal Court on Thursday (April 18).

Beck, 30, of Van Buren, was sentenced to 10 days in jail, according to a clerk. However, a judge gave her credit for time served, which means she will not be required to serve jail time.

The judge ordered her to pay fines and court costs of $920. Beck was ordered to complete an alcohol education program and take part in a victim impact panel, according to the clerk.

Beck was stopped on Interstate 40 by an Arkansas State Police trooper on Jan. 20. She was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and booked into the Crawford County Jail before posting a cash bond several hours later.

The KFSM television anchor posted the following statement on her Facebook fan page: “I am ready to move forward from my mistake. Today, I appeared before a judge, where I plead guilty to DWI, first offense. I am thankful for your support, my family, my coworkers, and for the chance to learn a very big lesson. I have grown from this and my heart has been deeply changed. I am ready to close the book on this and move forward.”
