More than 50 former patients of a Tulsa oral surgeon have tested positive for hepatitis or HIV, according to a report from KJRH in Tulsa.
The Tulsa Health Department released results from the first round of tests Thursday (April 18) after an investigation was launched into to Dr. Scott Harrington’s practices last month.
Results show 57 tested positive for hepatitis C, while three tested positive for hepatitis B, the report states.
Positive results were also reported for HIV but Oklahoma State Department of Health policy regarding HIV disclosure prohibits public reporting of numbers less than three, according KJRH. Click here for full coverage of this story.
