The Bentonville First Friday Event on May 3 has been cancelled due to a rare and historic spring snow event.
After the Downtown Bentonville, Inc. tweeted Thursday (May 2) that the festivities would go on “Rain, Shine… or Snow?” the organization sent a news release to 5NEWS Friday morning saying “it looks like nature won this round.”
The group said they still plan on holding the Bentonville Farmers Market Saturday morning (May 4.) The market is open from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
