Two people were hospitalized Monday morning when a flatbed semi-truck crashed into the back of a cement truck along a highway in West Siloam Springs, Okla., according to the City of Siloam Springs.
Emergency crews responded to the site of the crash at 8:50 a.m. on U.S. Highway 412, two miles west of the Oklahoma-Arkansas state line, according to information released by Holland Hayden, communications director for the City of Siloam Springs.
Crews from the Siloam Springs Fire Department retrieved the drivers from the wreckage and transported them to Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.
The eastbound portion of the highway was temporarily closed down while crews cleaned up fuel and debris, Hayden said.
