Arkansas Gets First Round Bye In SEC Tournament

Hogs get extra day of rest; Will face winner of Kentucky-Ole Miss

Arkansas may not have ended the regular season the way they liked but it will still get a first round bye in the SEC tournament.

The Razorbacks are the No. 3 seed in the league tournament, which starts on Tuesday in Hoover, Ala.

Vanderbilt and LSU are the top two seeds in the 12 team tournament. Georgia and Tennessee did not qualify for the tournament.

Arkansas will play at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday and will get the winner of No. 6 Ole Miss and No. 11 Kentucky. After Tuesday's opening round, the tournament is double elimination.

An Arkansas win on Wednesday would see the Razorbacks play at 4:30 p.m. Thursday while a loss would have the team play at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The Razorbacks were bounced out of the opening round of the SEC tournament in 2012 before making their run to Omaha and the College World Series.
