Things were starting to get interesting at the Norman Regional between Oklahoma and Arkansas.
The Razorbacks trailed 6-5 in the sixth inning but the Sooners then showed why they are the tournament’s overall top seed.
Oklahoma plated four runs in the sixth to provide a little insurance as they picked up the 10-5 win and advanced to the championship round.
Arkansas will face the winner of the Marist-Fordham game tonight at 6 p.m.
The Sooners jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Amanda Geile put Arkansas on the scoreboard with a solo home run in the fourth. Oklahoma answered with three more runs to take a 6-1 lead.
Arkansas began to climb back into it in the top half of the sixth when Andrea Sullivan hit a two-run, pinch hit home run. Clarisa Navarro then added a two run single to close the gap to 6-5.
Oklahoma got those four runs back in the bottom half of the inning, three coming on a bases loaded double from Lauren Chamberlain.
