Two Rogers men face an attempted capital murder charge after a shooting Friday night.

James Carranza, 21, and Mario Torres, 18, were booked in the Benton County Detention Center on Saturday morning, and Torres also faces a felony charge of possession of a defaced firearm, according to the Sheriff's Department website. Torres is being held on $1 million bond and Carranza's bond is $500,000.

Police said they responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of North 3rd Street and West Persimmon Street late Friday night. Police said Jose Quiroz, Jr., of Rogers, was shot at least five times in the torso with a .40-caliber handgun.
