Shiloh Christian Shocks Harrison For 5A Title

Lady Saints avenge regular season losses to win program’s first state title.

Harrison had no problems during the regular season. With any team.

The Lady Goblins outscored Shiloh Christian 13-3 in their two conference match-ups but the 5A girls soccer championship was a completely different story.

The Lady Saints got a goal from Taylor Michaelis in the 58th minute and their defense did the rest as Shiloh Christian posted a 1-0 win at Razorback Field.

Shiloh Christian did not allow a goal during the state tournament, a span of 320 minutes of action.

"It feels great," Hannah Howell said. "I've worked so hard for four years.  And my teammates have worked so incredible hard.  I'm so proud."

"I am absolutely amazed I had no clue this was gonna happen we came in as huge underdogs and I had no clue," Madison Elliot said. "We didn't even come here expecting to get to the state championship and we just won it.  I can't believe it.  We came in here with a different game plan our coach trained us and we came out here and got it done.  It's amazing."

The win gives Shiloh Christian their first ever soccer title.
