Van Buren Storm Siren Struck By Lightning

The Crawford County Department of Emergency Management sent out a notice informing Van Buren residents the emergency warning siren in Vista Hills on Pernot Street is temporarily broken.

The department said the siren was struck by lightning during the last storm and parts have to be ordered. The parts will likely not be here in time for the next round of severe weather, according to a news release from the department.
