Police busted a car full of people on the way to Wakarusa Music Festival on Wednesday who allegedly had various drugs in the vehicle, including cookies full of marijuana, according to the Bella Vista Police Department.
During a traffic stop, an officer said he had reasonable suspicion that there may have been illegal drugs in the Subaru Outback, and called a K-9 unit to investigate. Following a search from a drug-sniffing dog, police seized LSD, marijuana, Psilocybin mushroom, Xanax pills, an unknown white powder and marijuana-laced chocolate chip cookies, police said.
The four occupants of the vehicle, who were traveling from Colorado to the music festival in Ozark, were arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail. Katherine Pumplin, 19, Vondel Fransen, 22, and Sean McNicol, 21, were arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, two counts each of felony and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police estimate the street value of the drugs allegedly found at $5,000. The Subaru car was also seized by officers, according to Bella Vista police.
