Police Investigating Death of Tahlequah Woman

Oklahoma police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found Friday evening in a home of the 100 block of Kupsick Street in Tahlequah.

A Northeastern State University officer discovered the body at approximately 6 p.m. after friends of the woman’s requested a welfare check.

The woman has not been identified and the medical examiner will try to determine how she died. The Tahlequah Police Department has turned the investigation over to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

The woman’s car is missing. It is a red 2011 Ford Fiesta with a Oklahoma license plate number 098HQO.
