A woman sustained serious injuries in a two-car accident Saturday night in Rogers.

Rogers Fire Department responded to an accident shortly before 10 p.m. at the intersection of West Walnut Street and South 12th Street. One vehicle had hit another car broadside on the passenger side, and the impact forced the second car into a street sign and a light pole.

The woman, a passenger in the second car, was briefly trapped in the wreckage. She was taken to Mercy Hospital with what officials said were not life-threatening injuries.
