Striking workers protested outside Walmart's home office in Bentonville Monday morning (June 3) as associates and shareholders began arriving in town for this year's annual shareholders meeting.

A Walmart spokesman said not all protestors all associates, however the protestors say they are all Walmart employees, and say they are protesting because they want higher wages, better benefits and more respect.

A Walmart spokesman said they have competitive salaries and just under 90% of Walmart employees would recommend working for the company. Walmart also says they are spending their time this week focusing on the shareholders meeting on Friday. (June 7)
