Emergency crews responded early Monday afternoon to storage tank fire at a metal plant in LeFlore County, Okla.

Police and fire crews were on the scene of the fire at Yaffe Iron and Metal in Arkoma at about 1 p.m. No injuries were reported, and firefighters extinguished the fire about one hour later.

A storage tank used for cutting metal exploded, after which sparks started flying and the tank caught fire, said firefighter Don King with the Arkoma Fire Department.

Sean Yaffe with Yaffe Iron told 5NEWS a torch crew spilled diesel fuel, which then burned and caught a few tires on fire. He said the incident was not an explosion.

Fire crews from Arkoma, Fort Smith and Murry Spur assisted on-scene.
