A Bank of the Ozarks branch in Fayetteville was struck by lightning early Wednesday (June 5) as storms blew through Northwest Arkansas, a spokesman said.
The branch at 2060 N. Crossover Road was hit just after 8 a.m., officials said.
The lightning strike knocked out some computers and circuit breakers, but did not damage the building or spark a fire, officials said.
A Fayetteville police dispatcher said fire and police crews responded to the incident but reported no significant problems.
The bank was not evacuated and is open for business.
