The body of a man was found in the parking lot of the Greenwood Walmart Super Center parking lot Monday afternoon (June 17), according to police.
A Walmart security officer noticed the vehicle around 7:30 a.m. but no one was inside, according to Police Chief Will Dawson. When officials later went to check the vehicle they saw that the side window was broken and a man was inside with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The man’s death is under investigation, according to Dawson. The man has not been identified.
