Over the weekend 5NEWS and Yeagers Hardware gathered $7,500 in donations for local flood victims in Scott and LeFlore Counties and money is still coming in.

Donations from 5NEWS viewers have been coming into Yeagers locations steadily since the donation drive started Friday (June 14).

"I had someone this morning that called and wanted to make a $500,” said owner Deborah Clark. “So we've had anything from a few extra dollars that people have after they get their change to anywhere up to $500 donation."

Yeagers has donated more than $4,000. They’ll take all of the money raised and buy building materials like plywood and drywall at cost at the end of the month.

Donations can be made at all four Yeagers Ace Hardware locations:

4910 Jenny Lind Road, Fort Smith
2619 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith
1610 Main Street, Van Buren
814 W. Center, Greenwood
