A Madison County man was sentenced to 60 years in prison Monday (July 8) for producing child pornography.

James Hanna, 67, of Japton, Ark., pleaded guilty to two counts of producing child pornography in January. Hanna was also ordered to pay a $25,000 fine, according to Conner Eldridge, United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas.

In August 2012, a concerned parent called the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with information that Hanna had sexually assaulted two 13-year-old girls. Investigators found Hanna had been taking sexually explicit photos of them at his home.

Several computers, digital cameras and digital storage devices showed several sexually explicit images of the teens. Hanna had produced sexually explicit images of at least six different minors, ranging in age from 13-16, according to Eldridge.  Click here to read more about this case.
