A driver had to be pulled from a Toyota minivan after he hit a gas main in Rogers.
Witnesses say the vehicle went on to hit two fences and a business sign near 816 West Poplar St. just before 1 p.m. Monday (July 8).
“I just heard a loud crash, looked outside and all I saw was just dust and splinters in the air,” said Jeff Neal, who witnessed the accident. “I came out and saw the vehicle against the building over there.”
SourceGas crews were called to the scene to stop a leak and replace the main. Traffic was delayed for about 30 minutes.
Witnesses say the driver was an older man. No word yet on the his condition or what caused the accident.
