An abandoned house was destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon in Muldrow.

Muldrow Fire Chief Allen Faulkner said railroad workers called 911 after they noticed smoke coming from the building. Firefighters responded to fight the flames, and a 5NEWS photographer on the scene showed firefighters hosing down the ruined structure with just the walls left standing.

Faulkner said no one was injured in the blaze, which is still under investigation. Faulkner said the building had been abandoned for at least six months.
