Family Escapes Logan County House Fire

A Logan County family managed to escape an early morning fire Tuesday (July 23) near Magazine.

Dispatchers with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office said a homeowner at 2907 North Highway 109 called about the fired at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday.

The caller told dispatchers he got out of the house with his family without any injuries.

Initially dispatchers called out the Driggs Fire Department to assist, but due to the size of the fire, Magazine Fire Dept., and Blue Mountain Fire Dept. were also called out.

Firefighters said the home was fully engulfed when they arrived, with some flames even spreading into nearby trees.

The crews remain at the scene of the fire at this time. The cause of the house fire was not immediately available.
