Fayetteville-based Mitchell Communications Group opened new offices in New York and Chicago Wednesday (July 24).

To staff the new offices, Mitchell says the company made a number of strategic new hires and transferred existing employees from Northwest Arkansas. The move is part of the company’s plan to expand their national and international clients.

“We’ve always believed at Mitchell in local connections and really making sure we provide that local connection to global brands and we are excited to announce that we are opening offices in New York and Chicago today to do just that,” said Sarah Clark, President of Mitchell Communications Group. “We believe there’s value when you actually can put team members on the ground and create that value for the clients.”

The group, founded in 1995 by Elise Mitchell, was acquired by Japanese marketing company Dentsu in January.

Mitchell was named a 2013 Top 10 fastest growing agency globally by The Holmes Report and is listed as a 2013 Top 50 U.S. agency by PRWeek.

The agency’s clients include Walmart U.S., Sam’s Club, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Procter & Gamble, J.B. Hunt, Tyson Foods, Southwestern Energy and more.
