Five people were arrested on drug charges after Fort Smith Police executed a search warrant at The Links on Zero Wednesday night (July 31).

Jonathan Shook, Bradley Woods, Jennifer Stiles, Mike Goetz, and Rebecca Goetz were booked into the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center on multiple drug possession charges.

Woods also faces a parole violation charge and the Goetz couple was also arrested on weapons charges, according to police.

Officers seized several hundred pills, four firearms, several pieces of personal property, along with nearly $24,000 from the apartment, according to a police report.

Police say a doctor prescribed 360 Oxycodone pills to Rebecca Goetz each month, however, instead of taking them as directed, she let Shook sell them for $30 a pill. Shook sold the pain medication to undercover officers multiple times in the parking lot of the apartment complex, according to a police report.

Based on that information, investigators were able to obtain a search warrant and make the arrests Wednesday.

"It's a huge problem, I think part of it is people think that 'Well, it's prescribed by a doctor or it's made it in a lab it must be OK," Capt. Jamie Hammond with the Fort Smith Police Department said.  "But the way people abuse them is not OK."
