Brewer Foundation Holds Gala

Terrell Owens served as master of ceremonies for Brewer Foundation fundraiser.

The Fayetteville Town Center housed some of the biggest sports names that have come to Northwest Arkansas in some time.

Former NFL star Terrell Owens was the master of ceremonies for the Ronnie Brewer Foundation's event in efforts to help raise money for the Fayetteville Boys & Girls Club.

"Ronnie is really taking a lot of time out of his schedule along with the family members that are part of the Ronnie Brewer Foundation," Owens said. "To help ensure the quality of life of at risk kids. Obviously Ronnie has been doing a great job to raise money."

Brewer hosted a celebrity bowling night on Friday while Saturday's event had an auction to help raise funds. Arkansas basketball coach Mike Anderson was also in attendance in support of the former Razorback and current NBA guard.

"I explained to him what I was wanting to do trying to get him to come down here and he bought on and came down to support us," Brewer said of Owens. "Like I said before, I'm very appreciative of it"

Brewer spent time with both the New York Knicks and Oklahoma City Thunder last season.

Owens was a six time pro bowl receiver playing for the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bills and Bengals during his 14 seasons in the NFL. Owens had 1,078 catches for nearly 16,000 yards and 153 touchdowns in his career.
