Crawford County deputies are notifying the public about two level four sex offenders who have moved into the area.

Paul McGill, 28, and Robert Ward, 55, are considered “sexually dangerous offenders,” according to the Arkansas sex offender registry. Both are living in the same home in the 1300 block of Oak Grove Road between Van Buren and Kibler.

The men will be monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by the Arkansas Support Network, Sgt. Ken Howard said.

The Arkansas Support Network is a Springdale-based company that provides assistance to individuals with disabilities and their families. Howard said the company has a Fort Smith location.

Deputies are passing out flyers, notifying neighbors that McGill and Ward have moved into the area, Howard said.

Ward was convicted of sexual solicitation and sexual indecency with a child in 2006 in Benton County, according to court documents.

McGill pleaded guilty of one count of sexual indecency with a child and terroristic threatening in Craighead County last year. The charges stemmed from offenses that occurred in 2011, according to court documents.

"A level 4 sex offender is a sexually violent offender at this time that is most likely to re-offend," said Chief Deputy Jimmy Damante.

Damante said Ward also has a documented history of attempted kidnapping.

Authorities say the two men are to be escorted by employees of the Arkansas Support Network anytime they leave their house.

The sheriff`s department says it has no authority over deciding where registered sex offenders can live in the county.
