Pipeline Explosion, Fire Reported in Pittsburg County

A natural gas pipeline in rural Pittsburg County ruptured and caught fire Tuesday (Aug. 20).

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission says the pipeline is operated by Enogex. The scene of the explosion and fire is two miles south of the Enogex gas plant outside of Kiowa, according to a report from our Tulsa affiliate KOTV.

No injuries were reported.

Kiowa is located on Highway 69 southwest of McAlester.
