A Spiro man was seriously injured Thursday (Aug. 22) in a motorcycle accident.
Bryant Sober, 47, was taken by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital with head injuries. He was listed in critical condition, according to an accident report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. His passenger, Sandy Walker, 39, of Hartford, Ark., was taken to Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith with head and arm injuries. She was treated and released.
According to the accident report, Sober failed to negotiate a curve on Old Pocola Highway three miles west of the town just before 7 p.m. Both were ejected from the motorcycle about three feet after the motorcycle struck a ditch.
Neither was wearing a helmet at the time, the report states.
