65 Jobs Coming to Fort Smith

Local officials along with Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe announced Tuesday (Sept. 10) Thermold Magazines will move its headquarters Fort Smith.

The company has been in business since the 1960’s,  manufacturing gun magazines and accessories. Thermold Magazines is partnering with River Bend Industries to add more than 65 jobs in the River Valley.

Beebe made the announcement at the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce Tuesday morning.

Thermold Magazines’ relocation from North Carolina is a $7 million investment in Fort Smith. The company will be housed in River Bend Industries’ Wheeler Avenue location. Gun magazines will also be manufactured there.

River Bend Industries is one of the largest customer thermoplastics and engineering resins companies in the southern United States.
