A sex offender was found dead in his home during a compliance check Wednesday (Sept. 11) in Fort Smith.
The home is located near Brooken Hill Road and Prestwick Drive in Fianna Hills. Police say the man’s wife found him when she went to wake him up after officers arrived. Foul play is not suspected.
Fort Smith police, Arkansas State Police and the U.S. Marshals responded to the home to investigate. The man’s cause of death is unknown.
No information on the man’s identity has been released at this time.
