UPDATE: Man Stabbed In Fayetteville; Suspect & Victim Named

Fayetteville Police Officers responded to 1960 Huntsville RD, late Thursday afternoon (Sept. 19) for a report of a physical disturbance.

The caller reported Brian Blair had stabbed her boyfriend with a knife. When officers arrived on scene, they located a male victim, James Clayton Johnson
outside the residence undemeath the carport area with a stab wound to the abdominal area.

Witnesses on scene reported Blair had been involved in a verbal altercation with a female at the residence that eventually
ended up physical. One witness reported Blair pushed the female occupant during the argument and the
altercation turned physical.

After the altercation became physical, the female's father exited the residence and
grabbed Blair from behind to break up the altercation. As the father was attempting to separate the two, Blair
produced a pocket knife and stabbed the father.

After the fafher separated from Blair, he swung the knife at the father again, but the father blocked the swing
and knocked the knife from Blair's hand. Officers located the suspect in the area and
underneath the carport, he admitted to stabbing the victim.

Officers also located the knife and the investigation continues. Blair is in the Washington County Detention Center facing aggravated assault, among other charges.
