Benton County Judge Bob Clinard hired a Wal-Mart executive to repair the troubled road department.

Terry Nalley is currently a Sr. Construction Manager with Wal-Mart  and will soon become the county’s public services administrator who will oversee the road department.

"I’m really excited, I’m really looking forward to the challenge of bringing this department and putting it to basically on the map in a positive manner," said Nalley.

He will replace Scott Stober, who was arrested in July on theft allegations along with two other supervisors from the road department Jack Brown and Grant McCracken.

Nalley said he is up for the challenge to get the department back on track.

"The main goal that I want to do is bring unity back to the department because of the past and what has happened over the last few months," said Nalley.

Nalley has 35 years of experience in construction and engineering in 42 states.

Nalley will focus more on management aspects of the job, according to Benton County Judge, Bob Clinard.

“I think that he’ll probably spend more time in the office working on the business end of the Road Department, taking care of budget, schedules, dealing with employee issues and managing the office staff. I do see that he will spend more time in the office then in the past,” said Clinard.

Nalley is scheduled to start in his new job with the county no later than Oct. 11.

Nalley is the father of Keshia Guyll who is the Public Information Officer at the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
