Missouri Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

An Independence, Mo., man died in a motorcycle accident in Madison County early Saturday (Sept. 21), according to the Arkansas State Police.

Randy Gist, 55, was traveling southbound on Arkansas 45 and failed to negotiate the left-hand turn onto U.S. 412, the Highway Patrol accident report states.

According to the report, Gist struck a highway sign and was thrown 120 feet from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Madison County coroner.

Gist was wearing his helmet, the report states.
