A city commission is meeting on Wednesday to discuss the initial plans to build a Dunkin Donuts in Fayetteville.

The proposed location would be at 1805 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., near Andy's Frozen Custard and The Domain student housing, according to the meeting's agenda.

The land is right next to a University of Arkansas transit bus stop.

Students said they would frequently go to the donut shop, if it were in that location.

"I'm going to walk here probably every day, because it's right behind my bus stop, so I'll probably come here pretty often," Daniel Martin said.

"That might be a good idea to put a Dunkin Donuts here because we can get something to eat because I know when I get up in the morning, I don't really have time to eat," Trecorv Jackson said.

The 2,600 square foot restaurant would be on the 1.43 acres.

The proposed store would be the second in Northwest Arkansas, the first is set to open soon in Bentonville.

The donut shop based out of Cincinnati, Ohio, serves donuts, coffee and breakfast items.
