An American Eagle aircraft with 44 passengers on board made an emergency landing at Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport early Wednesday (Nov. 6) after pilots reported a problem with directional steering, an airport spokeswoman said.
No one was injured in the incident, said Kelly Johnson, spokeswoman.
The aircraft, traveling between Dallas and Madison, Wis., landed at 8:53 a.m., suspending airport operations for 19 minutes, she said.
The passengers were taken off the aircraft, which was towed from the runway to a maintenance area, Johnson said. The passengers then were rerouted on other flights, she said.
