Parts of the River Valley were left without power for a short time around noon on Thanksgiving Day.
Nearly 1,600 residents in Rye Hill, along with 140 more in Beverly, were left without power at a time many families were preparing their Thanksgiving meals or sitting down to eat.
All of those affected were Arkansas Valley Electric customers.
Power was restored around 12:30 p.m.
Officials said they did not immediately know caused the outage.
