Some Area Roads Remain Frozen Tuesday

Several areas still have ice and snow as road departments continue to work to clear roads.

Weather Alert: Several areas still have ice and snow as road departments continue to work to clear roads.  Watch for ice patches across the area.  There is also fog across the area this morning that may cause slowdowns during morning commutes.

Northwest Arkansas:

Benton County: Several secondary roads remain frozen.  Crews expect roads to be cleared over the next few days as temperatures rise above freezing across the area.

Bella Vista: Highways near Bella Vista has been reported to have slick spots.

Fayetteville- Main roads have been mostly cleared.  The road dept. is moving on to secondary roads.   Some slick spots have been reported in downtown Fayetteville.  Drivers should also anticipate slowdowns due to the ongoing Fullbright Expressway construction project.

Bentonville- Northwest 2nd Street between Northwest D Street and Northwest A Street will be closed to one lane.  The city of Bentonville is requesting drivers attempt to find an alternative route to this road due to expected delays.  This closure continues for the next two months.

River Valley:

I-540- Slowdowns are frequently expected from Van Buren to Fort Smith due to an ongoing highway improvement project.

Van Buren- Drivers should use caution driving on Rena Road due to construction.
