A Mulberry automotive shop caught on fire Thursday night, engulfing the building in flames, according to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said the fire started shortly before 10 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Fire crews responded to Anthony's Wrecker Service, whose listed address is 127 Mulberry Wire Road. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Steven Hargess is one of many in Mulberry who watched the business go up in flames. He even managed to shoot cell phone video as firefighters battled the fire.

"Every 30 or 40 seconds there was a boom," he said.

Mulberry Fire Chief Jeff Marvin said they battled the fire through the night.

"When I arrived on scene, the fire had spread the full distance of the building," he said.

Chief Marvin said he estimates the damage to be around $500,000. Around six vehicles being restored were also destroyed in the fire.
