Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse explains how he is working toward an effective, cost-efficient solution to clearing the roads when snow and ice hit. He says the city typically dispenses 150-200 tons of grit during an ice storm - this time they used nearly 1,500 tons.
Regarding the road conditions, Mayor Sprouse stated, "You can throw everything you got at it, and the weather still wins until the temperature moderates."
Mayor Sprouse expresses his gratitude for the patience and support from the community, and says he will do his best to try and learn how to make situations like this one better.
